Petroula Oikonomopoulou
My name is Petroula Oikonomopoulou and i was born in Athens in 1971. I graduated from the Fine Arts University of Thessaloniki, where i majored in sculpture arts. At present i do sculpure on marble, stone and wood.
I also do painting and design my personal ladies luxury handbags.

My work is mostly inspired from the ancient Greek history. The wealth of the Greek culture stimulates me to create art. I mainly use natural materials such as wood, marble, clay. Their uniqueness requiring respect and flexibility on the artists behalf.
Η δουλειά μου είναι εμπνευσμένη ως επί το πλείστον από την αρχαιοελληνική ιστορία. Η μελέτη του πλούσιου πολιτισμού μας μου δίνει διαρκή ερεθίσματα για δημιουργία. Εκφράζομαι μέσω διαφόρων υλικών, αλλά προτιμώ τα φυσικά όπως ξύλο,μάρμαρο,πηλός. Η συμπεριφορά του κάθε εξ'αυτών είναι απρόσμενη και ο καλλιτέχνης οφείλει να σεβαστεί την ιδιαιτερότητά τους.
